1. Information We Collect
We collect account details (such as name and email), usage data, payment-related metadata, and content you upload to provide and improve Vidso. We may also use session recording and product analytics tools to understand how the site is used (for example, page views, clicks, and anonymized or masked interaction replays).
If you choose Connect YouTube, Google shares YouTube channel information with Vidso after you approve access. That can include channel id and title, thumbnails, video metadata (title, description, tags, privacy, and stats), and the OAuth tokens needed to act on your channel. We only request this when you connect a channel. Signing in with Google for a Vidso account does not by itself grant YouTube access.
2. How We Use Information
We use collected data to operate the platform, process payments, provide support, improve product quality, and communicate service updates.
YouTube access is used only to provide publishing features you ask for: show connection status, upload a finished video to your channel, list videos you own, and update title, description, tags, or privacy. The Vidso YouTube MCP (Claude, Cursor, and similar tools signed in as you) uses the same stored YouTube connection. We do not use YouTube data for advertising, and we do not sell it.
3. Sharing of Information
We may share data with trusted service providers (hosting, analytics, and payment processors) only as needed to run Vidso.
When you connect YouTube, Vidso calls Google’s YouTube Data API on your behalf. Google processes that traffic under Google’s Privacy Policy. We do not share your YouTube tokens or channel data with other third parties except as required to operate those features or by law.
4. Data Retention
We retain data for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
YouTube OAuth tokens are kept only while your channel stays connected. Disconnect YouTube in Account settings to revoke Vidso’s access and delete those tokens from our store. You can also revoke access in your Google Account permissions.
5. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information, but no method is completely secure. YouTube tokens are stored encrypted and are sent to Google only to perform the actions above.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data. to submit a request.
